jinxed, maka sedey

I

my henbeg was ringan, i almost flew when picking it up. when i korek2, i realised my malaysian ringgit + thai baht + indonesian rupiah were not there. i stopped the cute green arse by the roadside. i korek s'more and found only my old receipts + suparrrdzu's clan business card + my assorted cards + my passport + fort minor's tickets intact, the rest gone. i know laa my passport picture not cute but please laa not too obvious, i hurted you know. and you know what's peculiar, cik pms's business card was missing as well. come on!!! what are you trying to prove wahai penyamun tarbus??? later, when i asked the police officer to certify my report, he said i have to pay. i replied saya tak ada satu sen pun sekarang + saya memandu tanpa lesen ni, tolong enche. he went you shouldn't be driving and come later when you have the money. brilliant!

(don't worry, the nikon flash + lc-a camera are safe)

II

my fort minor partner is stuck with work, expected actually, and so the gig no go

III

a hotel screwed up my booking and so i'm boleh tahan screwed laa unless they get to rectify, maka goodbye fort minor - me not best mood

oh ya! harga minyak naik hasn't sunk in, esok i pikir... and whatever happened to "inflasi sifar sasaran kita"

contemplating

I find it amazing how two souls trussed matrimonially could describe their shared experience differently; they both stand at two extreme ends when relating the event on different occasions, but it doesn’t surprise me anymore.

Yes. How we see or interpret something is fashioned by us; a mesh of our past experiences, our belief system, and our values. When two people tell different versions or details of a shared experience it doesn’t always signify one of them is telling a lie, it could mean that they are not ‘in sync’, perhaps or rather, they exist in parallel world. Hence, they see differently.

Do I have a point from all this? I don’t know, merely mulling over...

impulsive buy, am guilty

i've been sober and real practical (i think) for quite a while now, but this afternoon i went on an impulsive buy. erk! and now i'm surfing the web to see if it was a wise decision. oops! :op

meet my new digital camera: olympus sp-700

kejutan

my mom and brother insisted that i turun makan with them. after much persuasion, i went.

tergezut sehhh!!!

my 23 year old brother holds a boring job; supir kenderaan awam. maka his style has always been conservative. between us four, he's the most serious and he behaves like he's the eldest but today, his hair coloured already and got peak some more!!!

oh and that's my mom in the background, she's like that. if she sees a camera, she'll pose.

janji joni

Yesterday afternoon I went hunting for DVDs/VCDs with Izan. Nope, we didn't go for bajakan ya, but rather 'ori' CDs. Well I practise this double standard; I do bajakan Hollywood films and original local movies.

Anyways, I got Afdlin's Baik Punya Cilok (for my parents) and Indonesian Joko Anwar's Janji Joni.

Umaakkkk aiiiii!!! I'm in love! I fell in love instantaneously with the flick!!! I've heard whispers saying that Janji Joni is a good fast paced, fun film but I didn't expect myself to be this smitten.

It is a feel good film, a romantic comedy you'd want to see over and over and over again. Janji Joni is smart and at the same time a little bit cockoo. 'Tis blessed with an unforgettable cast. The story revolves around the bioskop. The movie somehow reminded me of Cinema Paradiso but with a dab of Amelie and a little Alfie.

I so love the camera works, well its artsy fartsy in moderation.

Oh and I reckon Janji Joni offers the best collection of grooves to ever accompany an Indonesian film. Think electronica, psychedelic rock and retro pop. The soundtracks injected adrenaline into the whole experience.

"Cerita ni lebih bagus dari cerita Afdlin tadi" a quote from Bapak guwe.

Definitely a must see!!!

KL Lights

over the weekend, whilst i was driving, i received a text from "ain tkc" to check her little baby out; "KL Lights" on 8TV, sunday 12/2 10 pm. i went all excited, for i know how gifted she is and the energy and commitment she would dump into a project (remember english drama, english debate, choir, police cadets) would definitely mean it'll be special, of course i had to forward the text to everyone else. oh! i even reminded all to switch to 8TV at 9:58 pm that night. hehe! yup! that excited, i was.

i was pleased, it was definitely a breath of fresh air. not a glint of typical malaysian drama swasta in "KL Lights" but a lot of unorthodox approaches. the cast were not bad as well. thanks very much, ain! you're the bomb!

"KL Lights" storyline sounds familiar to me, i was able to relate. it's like you’re home after spending years of study abroad. being exposed to the way things work abroad, you dream of your ideal career with high expectations but reality bites you hard, things can get quite disappointing. and being true to your principals can sometimes backfire. why do i suspect there's a little of ain dabbed into nadia? she started off as a journalist with nstp, didn't she? oh well...

not only did ain produce, she did a lot of other stuff, well her name kept on appearing on the credits according to lynor, i was busy playing with the kittens to notice. sorry! and the voice singing the theme song sounded like her!!! i'm sure ahmad izham omar is pleased to have an all rounder like ain on his lean team.

so, don't forget to catch the next round of "KL Lights" - 8TV Sunday 10pm.

yesterday

i received a text message from my bapak yesterday saying, "Married on 14.02.76. So, it's 30th." Whoops! He just corrected my facts. I thought they've been married for 32 years. :op

Mati!

Don't play play ha! My dad remembers his wedding anniversary!

Venue: Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club
Date: 28 Feb 2006 (Tuesday)
Time: 8:30 pm
Price: RM 112

with much shallowness i concluded

the sarawak tribune case sends a strong message; selective sensationalism is allowed, selective disrespectful reporting is allowed, as long as it’s embedded journalism. i'm not even championing their "freedom of speech".

part and parcel of the americanisation of malaysian society, arabisation is passé.

please don't mess with me

I received this peculiar phone call from a passive reader, whom I’ve never met. Just because I view the world different, just because I’ve been abroad, just because I mix with all sorts of people, just because I don’t have a ‘tudung’ over my head, just because I dress the way I do, it is wrong to assume that I’m as easygoing as you thought I was.

I hope you are reading this because you’ve just messed with the wrong person. I think you are a coward for using a pre paid account to call me. I think you lack finesse for carrying a conversation the way you did. I feel sorry for you for being 40 and behaving as such.

I hope it was out of ignorance that you failed to realise what you just did was called sexual harassment.

If you dare call me again, I’ll shame you.

kesah dongeng

last week i shared this text conversation with enche zuhri about feeding others with a kesah dongeng about yourself. i strongly believe you should share the truth, why create another pesona? why try to be a person you're not? he said people can tell him whatever, he doesn't care as long as they don't hurt him.

he said he even tak hairan if a person mengaku they are PM's anak sedara. so, that day, i mengaku PM's anak sedara, he said he was fine with it. the next day, i mengaku cucu sultan perak, he replied "baik, tuanku". the day after prince william's girlfriend, he bid "good night, future queen of england".

yesterday, i mengaku ex-girlfriend azlan abu hassan. he actually believed me, i had a good time rolling on the floor laughing. and this morning i told him i'm farish a noor's tealady, he exclaimed, "what is he doing there?!" oh ya! i was at the doctor again this morning.

so, here's a picture of me with my former lover

(enche zuhri ada percaya?!?! you see my point now? i tired oredi trying to prove a point.)

Lymphatic System

1. What is the purpose and function of the Lymphatic System?

The Lymphatic system transports excess interstitial fluid out of the tissue and back to the bloodstream. It maintains blood volume homeostasis around body cells and assists movements of materials into and out of cells. It transports fat, proteins (including hormones) and nutrients around the body. It provides immunological defenses against disease causing agents.

2. What is the cause of stagnant lymph?

The main cause of stagnant lymph is stress. Followed by lack of exercise, improper diet, environmental toxins, trauma and infections.

3. What are the symptoms of stagnant lymph?

When the lymph system gets sluggish or blocked up it becomes a breeding ground for viruses, bacteria and even cancer cells. The accumulated toxins and debris lead to pain, lumps, bumps and swelling. Fatigue and ill health are often the result of a clogged or sluggish lymph system.
